He also noted that the <br /> companies that do the asbestos abatement also do the demolition and there would be some <br /> cost savings to do it all at once. <br /> Hartman quested if you have to remove the asbestos in order to use the building. Loren stated <br /> if you are going to use the building, it should be removed. He also ask about the federal <br /> building but the asbestos was removed before the county purchased the building. <br /> Quandt ask why there had to be specification for the removal of the interior walls. Loren stated <br /> that if the interior walls are removed they have to be handled the same as the asbestos. It all <br /> has to be contained. <br /> Peterson stated this is a good storage building. Discussion was held on the demolition of the <br /> entire building and removing the asbestos. Loren stated that would be about $100,000. <br /> Bredthauer noted that this is the viable asbestos that is airborne.
