Lancaster stated that this could be on the agenda to discuss with everyone and she expressed <br /> concern spending the dollars when it may not help. <br /> Quandt noted that Max Mader also called and he stated he should have the right to know what <br /> is going on. Steve has met with the people on Airport Road. <br /> Hartman stated the dirt has not been moved it is a slow process. Steve is still gathering <br /> information. <br /> Lancaster noted this is the time to address it. <br /> Quandt noted that the city is cleaning out the ditch on Highway 281 and it has damns but now it <br /> will run even more water. There needs to be a forum to work this out with the NRD, City and <br /> County. <br /> Tom Hansen 3207 Homestead Drive noted that the city is cleaning out the ditch on Hwy 281 <br /> because it is hard to mow. He expressed concern on the flooding of Eagle Scout Lake and if a <br /> drainage project has to be approved. Does the County have to approve it? He ask who trumps <br /> who the NRD or the City. What are the plans for the future? There needs to be forum with all <br /> parties to address this. <br /> Lancaster stated we cannot force the city to do anything they need the information to make <br /> decisions. <br /> 7. 9:30 A.M. BID OPENING FOR CORBEL REPAIRS/REPLACEMENT AT HALL COUNTY <br /> FEDERAL BUILDING Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to open the bids for the <br /> corbel repairs/replacement for the Federal Building. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Peterson, and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> The following bid was received <br /> BIDDER TOTAL BID BID BOND <br /> Baltazars Stone <br /> 10890 Sapp Brothers Drive <br /> Omaha, NE $17,975.00 Enclosed <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to accept the bid and to refer to building and <br /> grounds director and come back with a recommendation. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 8. 9:45 A.M. BID OPENING FOR FRONT STEP REPAIRS AT HALL COUNTY FEDERAL <br /> BUILDING —Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to open the bids for the front <br /> step repair at the Federal Building. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson, <br /> and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> County Clerk Marla Conley stated that there was only 1 bid received for option #1. Mr. <br /> Humphrey stated that he had talked to other contractors and they did look at the project and <br /> may consider bidding in a couple of weeks. He also stated that they are looking at different kind <br /> of limestone that is not so porous and will last longer. It has also been approve by Dena <br /> Stanford. <br /> 3 <br />
