Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the purchase of the motor grader <br /> tires from Cross Dillon. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson Quandt and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> B) DISCUSSION & COSIDERATION OF APPROVAL OF ADDING ASPHALT SURFACING OF <br /> ENGLEMAN ROAD SOUTH OF AIRPORT ROAD (PROJECT C40(373) BY CHANGE ORDER <br /> TO THE FALL 2019 ASHALT RESURFACING CONTRCT (PROJECT C40(469) — Mr. Riehle <br /> stated that Gary Smith Construction will honor the contract from the last project that he <br /> completed and he is requesting to approve a change order so this project can also be <br /> completed. He would be able to start the work tomorrow. <br /> Bredthauer made motion and Quandt seconded to hire Gary Smith Construction for the <br /> Engleman Road project C40(469) and approve the change order. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Peterson Quandt and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> C) DISCUSSION & CONISDERATION OF APPROVAL TO REPLACE GASBOY FUEL <br /> SYSTEM FROM GILBARCO VEEDER ROOT THROUGH YANT EQUIPMENT, INC USING <br /> SOURCEWELL CONTRACT#022217-GVR—this system used a gas card to purchase fuel and <br /> keep track of the fuel for the Department of Roads and for the gas tax reporting. It also keeps <br /> track of the road use and the off road equipment use for tax purposes. They have had the same <br /> hardware since 1984 and now the software is not compatible with the new computers. They <br /> have a separate computer but have had some problems. IT has suggested to replace the <br /> software and the hardware. The new system will be on the internet and everyone will be able to <br /> see the reports. The cost would be$13,186.14 but it is government pricing. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the purchase of the Gasboy fuel <br /> system using the government pricing. Government pricing may not be the lowest but it is a fair <br /> price. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson Quandt and Richardson all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> D) DISCUSSION ON REPLACING PORTION OF CONCRETE SHOP FLOOR AT ROADS <br /> BUILDING — Discussion was held on the shop floor and Quandt expressed concern on the <br /> columns and the trusses and if they will support a crane. He noted that the trusses are 60 years <br /> old and were not designed for a hoist. He thinks they need to look at the whole floor and draw <br /> up plans to remove and replace it. There are also floor drains for the water and oil. They <br /> currently have a containment system outside of the building. Discussion was held to use the <br /> same design as the Weed Department. He suggested to remove the shop floor and replace it <br /> with a 6 inch concrete floor and to come back in 2 weeks with some prices on the crane and the <br /> floor they need an idea what it will cost. <br /> Bredthauer ask if there could be a crane from the surplus federal property and if someone would <br /> install the cranes. Steve stated that they would not install the crane because of the potential <br /> liability. <br /> Steve will come back in 2 weeks with more information. <br /> 7 <br />
