DEPARTMENT— Mr. Riehle stated that this will be about $10,000 to $11,000 and they have <br /> discussed to make it manual control. The specs are completed. <br /> E) SET PROPOSAL OPENING DATE &TIME FOR SHOP VENTILATION SYSTEM FOR <br /> PUBLIC WORKS - Richardson made a motion and Hurst seconded to set the bid opening for <br /> October 15, 2019 at 9:25 a.m. with the bids due October 11, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. <br /> Quandt ask about the weed department building that the public works department is using. <br /> Steve stated that they have moved the sign truck and other equipment over there the paint and <br /> the truck will all consolidated there. <br /> Quandt also noted that they waste oil furnace was part of the ventilation problem in the shop. <br /> The study from B2E noted that in the report. Bredthauer read the report from B2E that noted <br /> the problems from burning the oil in the shop. <br /> Quandt ask about the CMF and the cubic feet of the stop that will be in the specs and determine <br /> the size of the system. Steve stated he could add the building size to the specs. <br /> 10F) DISCUSSION & CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO ISSUE REQUEST FOR <br /> PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR A TRUCK SHED HYDRAULIC DOOR FOR THE PUBLIC WORKS <br /> DEPRTMENT— Mr. Riehle stated they looked at doors and what kind of modifications would be <br /> needed for regular overhead doors. He would like to replace the sliding doors and did ask for a <br /> budget number. He would like to go out for proposals. <br /> Quandt ask if he had an engineer look at the doors and Steve stated that they would build a <br /> frame outside of the building to support the doors. The structural engineer stated that the <br /> building would not support any more weight. Quant ask about swinging doors. Steve stated <br /> these doors are free standing and there is a hydraulic system that is hooked up to a tractor <br /> Hartman state that they have the system to do this. <br /> G) DISCUSSION & CONSIDERATION OF SETTING PROPOSAL OPENING DATE & TIME <br /> FOR A TRUCK SHED HYDRAULIC DOOR FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT - <br /> Discussion was held and Richardson made a motion and Peterson seconded to set the bid <br /> opening for the truck shed hydraulic doors October 23 2019 at 9:45 a.m. with the bids due <br /> October 28, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE - Mr. Riehle stated that the Engleman Road asphalt has been <br /> completed and it is a very smooth road. Quandt questioned if the contractor would honor the <br /> unit price with a change order for the Potash Road project <br /> Bredthauer requested that the Engleman Road and Airport Road be put on the agenda in 2 <br /> weeks. <br /> Mr. Riehle stated that they have not used the bump buggy on Wood River Road they need to <br /> find a company. They have held 5% retention on this project if it is bad there will be a reduction <br /> to the contractor there is a penalty and the county could be reimbursed if it is too rough. Steve <br /> stated they need a true diamond grinder to correct it. <br /> 8 <br />
