Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to move forward on the skid steer <br /> replacement and come back in 2 weeks. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Quandt stated they need to decide what to do with the steps at the Federal Building. There is a <br /> company that will replace the stone treads or they could replace with concrete. Loran stated <br /> that Dena Sanford will accept that and to replace the treads it would be a lot less money. If they <br /> used concrete they would have to tea out all of the steps and replace the railings. Quandt noted <br /> the concrete would last longer. Loran stated they can consider a different type of ice melt <br /> Quandt stated he looked at the steps at DHHS and the quality is poor. Loran stated that Lacy's <br /> will replace those steps. <br /> 17. 11:00 a.m. EXECUTIVE SESSION - TERRY BAXTER NIRMA SAFETY ASSESSMENT <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go into executive session regarding the <br /> safety assessment from NIRMA. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 11:00 a.m. Executive session. <br /> 11:37 a.m. Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to go out of executive session. No <br /> other subjects were discussed no votes were taken and no action was taken. Bredthauer, <br /> Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> B) DISCUSSION & CONSIDERATION OF APPROVAL TO ISSUE REQUEST FOR <br /> PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR A "SHOP FLOOR REPAIR" FOR THE HALL COUNTY PUBLIC <br /> WORKS DEPARTMENT <br /> C) DISCUSSION & CONSIDERTION OF SETTING PROPOSAL OPENING DATE & TIME FOR <br /> "SHOP FLOOR REPAIR" FOR PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT - Mr. Riehle provided <br /> information to the board regarding this project. There are several options they could replace the <br /> middle part of the floor or use a concrete overlay. Concern was expressed on the cracks in the <br /> current floor. There is currently no rebar in the existing floor. <br /> Quandt expressed concern on the safety issue with the current crane and the capacity of the <br /> hoist. Steve stated they aren't using the current hoist they are using a smaller one. Quandt <br /> also expressed concern on the beams and if the floor would support them. Steve stated the <br /> crane will carry 5 to 10 tons. <br /> Hartman made a motion and Hurst seconded to move forward to replace the concrete floor. <br /> Discussion was held and Quandt expressed concern that he would like more information and <br /> does not want to vote on this today. <br /> Haartman withdrew his motion and they will come back in 2 weeks with more information. <br /> 10.
