Bredthauer ask about the fracture critical bridges. Steve stated that the Department of Roads <br /> has issued a contract and the county will be getting the reports and come back with <br /> recommendations. <br /> Bredthauer ask about the engineering bill from Olsson Associates in January. Mr. Riehle stated <br /> that when he was ask to cut $150,000 from his budget he did not want to cut the asphalt so that <br /> project has been pushed back and will be addressed next year. <br /> Bredthauer ask about the road and bridge foremen positions and what their jobs would be. <br /> Steve stated that they have not been reclassified yet. <br /> Karen sated that she is excited about the safety committee and on October 17th there will be a <br /> safety committee meeting. Mr. Baxter is coming on the 10th and the 17th and the kick off <br /> meeting will be the 17th. There will be 3 employees and 2 management and a recorder. <br /> Scrap Tire event— Mr. Riehle reported that they held the scrap tire cleanup and had been <br /> approved for 150 tons but they received 189 tons. He talked to the Environmental Energy and <br /> they approved to accept the full 189 tons. <br /> Richardson expressed concern on all of the random items that Karen brings up at the board <br /> meetings and feels that this is not a good use of time at the board meetings. She suggested <br /> that for efficiency Karen could contact Steve before the board meetings with all of the questions. <br /> This is not fair to the entire board and to Steve and to Mr. Hartman. It would be a more effective <br /> use of time to communicate before the board meeting. <br /> Bredthauer expressed concern that Mr. Riehle does not like to talk to her so at the board <br /> meetings it keeps it in the open. <br /> Quandt noted that even when the scrap tire event was over they still dumped tires in front of the <br /> gate. <br /> Hartman stated that Mr., Riehle has talked to people and saved dollars and expressed concern <br /> that she keeps digging things up. Karen stated she does not want to be accused of things at <br /> public meetings. <br /> Lancaster suggested that if she has questions to put together a list and give it to Mr. Riehle <br /> ahead of time prior to the meeting and then he will be prepared to answer before the meeting. <br /> She also ask that he bring back a report on the concern expressed by Susan Niemoth on her <br /> road. <br /> Steve stated that Jackie submitted Part A to FEMA the Emergency Management will receive <br /> 75% for$12,822.88 and 1/3 will be shared with the County They also received $3,134.50. Part <br /> C has been submitted it covers 2 projects. <br /> There are 2 executive session and these will put on the next Board of Equalization meeting. <br /> 9 <br />
