Bredthauer thee is a 130 foot circle and on the downwind side you can smell it but it <br /> depends on the direction of the wind. He has been there every day and has no <br /> concerns. <br /> John stated that the surveys have been tolerable the downwind side is no offensive. <br /> There have been a number of people and no bad experiences. Everyone has been <br /> inside of the 130 ft. circle. <br /> Peterson said the group has also driven the mile and one time there was odor but they <br /> were not sure if it was the land fill or the paunch. <br /> Hartman questioned if paunch does not smell but it was stated this is different <br /> B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON FEDERAL BUILDING STONE COBEL TRIM THAT <br /> BROKE - Mr. Humphrey stated that there are 2 companies that can provide this stone trim. The <br /> company in Omaha can make the stone remove the old stone and put up the new trim. A <br /> company in Kansas can make the stone and deliver it but not install the new stone. He also <br /> talked to a mason in Grand Island and he would not get involved in this project. This is all of the <br /> information that he has right now. The project would be $20,000 and they would have to go out <br /> for bids. <br /> Lancaster stated it would have to go out for bids and suggested to bring back the specifications. <br /> Peterson questioned if there could be another installer. <br /> 11C) DISCUSSION & POSIBLE ACTION ON FIRE SUPPRESSION & EGRESSES FOR THE <br /> COURTHOUSE (LETTER FROM FIRE MARSHALL) Mr. Humphrey include the letter from the <br /> Fire Marshall regarding the fire suppression and the egress. It was questioned if the county <br /> could use either one and Craig Lewis stated they would need to do both. <br /> Loran stated that he talked to Brad Kissler with Cannon, Moss and Brygger and they would <br /> require a regular AIA contract. <br /> D) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON LEASE FOR COMPACT TRACK LOADER <br /> THROUGH BOBCAT- Mr. Humphrey ask if the board wants to go out for bids or consider <br /> purchasing a track loader and do they want to look at used unit or new units. Quandt stated he <br /> would like to own the units. <br /> Bredthauer noted that we lease a skid steer at the jail from Bob Cat and suggested looking at <br /> the state bid price. Loran stated that this is a medium sized unit. He will check and come back <br /> to the board. <br /> Lancaster suggested to consider a used unit should consider a used unit. She suggested to get <br /> the information and come back at the next meeting. <br /> 6 <br />
