It can be sold at the Grand Island Machinery <br /> auction and some equipment will go to Big Iron to sell. Most of the items can be sold on the <br /> Grand Island Machinery auction. There are 8 v plows instead of 11. <br /> Hartman noted an item like scraper would go on the Big Iron auction and there are 8 v plows <br /> that they are proposing to sell. Steve stated they have not had any luck selling them they watch <br /> the price of iron when it goes up they will sell them. <br /> Quandt questioned the portable welders and the welder trailer. Steve stated this 2009 trailer is <br /> too wide to go down the road and the welder was federal surplus they do have a welder. <br /> Richardson made a motion and Hartman seconded to approve the sale of surplus property from <br /> the Public Works Department. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and <br /> Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Bredthauer questioned if they used the welders on bridge projects why they are selling them. <br /> Steve stated they do on the bridges and in the shop they use them and he went over the list <br /> with the foremen to determine what is surplus. He needs the board's approval to sell the <br /> surplus items. They also suggested keeping the manual lift that they use for tree trimming until <br /> they have one on a truck. <br /> Quandt is it good idea to sell the v plow now iron is low have tire to sell in other counties can sell <br /> when iron is higher. <br /> Lancaster questioned the sale of surplus property that is worth less than $500.00 she ask where <br /> this came from.
