COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS — Richardson Hartman and Bredthauer met <br /> with the library board regarding the library card agreement. They have red lined agreement and <br /> will come back to the County Board with the proposed changes. They started at 400 library <br /> cards and now are just about at 1000. <br /> Richardson stated she attended the meeting t Stuhr and they will be holding the July 4th <br /> celebration. She also attended the Humane Society board meeting and they had 263 calls last <br /> month. <br /> Bredthauer noted she attended the NACO County board workshop and there was information <br /> regarding the emergency relief fund. They counties have to add money to the budget to cover <br /> the disasters until FEMA reimburses the county. FEMA will only reimburse at 75%. She stated <br /> it was a good seminar. <br /> Lancaster stated she could not attend the NACO workshop but Hall County does have a reserve <br /> in the inheritance fund for emergencies of $1,000,000.00 this is a reserve that is not used. She <br /> also noted that she, Kim and Marla attended the NACO budget session. We have been <br /> dependent on Stacey and it was a good time to attend this seminar. They also used the county <br /> car so there was no mileage. <br /> Quandt stated he was contacted by the Veterans Club regarding the cemetery property and also <br /> the west parking lot. There is a 99 year lease but that could change so they are considering <br /> submitting a RFI regarding the parking lot property. They want to make sure they can keep it. <br /> He will have a letter for the next board meeting. <br /> 17. APPROVE BIWEEKLY PAY CLAIMS & APPROVE REGULAR CLAIMS Lancaster noted <br /> the board received the board pre approval list that is scanned to the board members and <br /> stressed it is important for the board members to take an active part approve these claim. She <br /> would like to have a hard copy of the claims list to review. Quandt noted the board used to look <br /> at every single claim before they were approved. <br /> Mr. Peterson noted that the department heads submit the claims and suggested the board could <br /> split them up and then review them. Lancaster noted that the board is responsible to review the <br /> claims and the only claims the chair has to sign are the personal reimbursement claims. The <br /> board needs to be more diligent reviewing the claims. The clerk's office can provide a hard <br /> copy list of the claims if the board would prefer that instead of the scanned copy. <br /> Hartman made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the regular claims and bi weekly pay <br /> claims. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes <br /> and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 22 DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING COUNTY PARKING LOTS <br /> Quandt is requesting that a committee be appointed with the County Sheriff and County <br /> Attorney and Mr. Humphrey to look at the county properties regarding safety issues and come <br /> up with a plan that will make the employees safe and the public safe. He noted kids playing in <br /> the parking lots during the day. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to authorize the chair to set up a committee to <br /> address county parking lot safety. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson <br /> and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> 12 <br />
