Motion carried. <br /> C) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON HALL COUNTY PUBLIC WORKS CWA <br /> COLLECTIVE BARGAINING AGREEMENT - Mr. Pigsley stated the CWA also held 2 meetings <br /> and this is a 3 year agreement July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022. The agreed on t 1 %% increase <br /> And some additional items on the sick leave benefit if they use 3 days there to provide a <br /> medical verification. There will be notice on work schedule changes, they also addressed <br /> overtime, call in pay and it was clarified what protective equipment that the county will proved <br /> and they will allow $200.00 to purchase personal protective equipment this will be available to <br /> each employee. Mr. Rudolph was the union representative and he was easy to work with. It <br /> went well and they also held 2 meetings. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to authorize the board members to sign the <br /> Public Works Collective Bargaining agreement. Motion carried. <br /> 6B) PUBLIC WORKS — DISCUSSION & CONSIDERATION OF MOVING FORWARD WITH <br /> ASPHALT RESURFACING IN THE CAIRO AREA— Ron Baldwin with J.I.L. requested to <br /> address the board regarding Wood River Road. They were attempting to contact the company <br /> that did the grinding on Stolley park road but were unable to secure a contract with them so they <br /> were able to get a different company out of Iowa that has the same type of equipment and they <br /> use the same process to do the grinding. <br /> Mr. Riehle stated that he will work with them on Wood River road to make sure it is smooth. <br /> Steve also talked to the people in Cairo about that project and they have has weather problems <br /> and they have been hauling 25 to 50 load of clay a day and are still hauling clay. J.I.L. would <br /> like to start on that project in the 2 or 3 weeks they could get the bottom fill on and the truck <br /> traffic would help that then they could move to Hillside drive and work there until they are done. <br /> Steve stated he could help with the scheduling to get this project started. <br /> Hartman made a motion and Richardson seconded to let J.I.L. start the Cairo project and put <br /> on the first fill on the east end and do the 1 mile where the trucks are driving and move to <br /> Hillside Drive until they are done hauling clay. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, <br /> Peterson and Richardson all voted yeas and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC WORK UPDATE - Steve stated they have been hauling gravel in the Cairo area and on <br /> Airport Road and the county line road. They have a lot of the A roads in the Wood River area <br /> done and if there is a soft spot the come back and put down more gravel. Island Landhandlers <br /> are working on the Camp Augustin stock pile and they have discussed with them about direct <br /> applying the gravel that would save time they will continue to put more gravel down in July and <br /> may ask for more gravel this fall.
