CORRECTIONS DEPARTMENT β€” DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO AWARD BID <br /> FOR INMATE FOOD SERVICE β€” Corrections Director Todd Bahensky reviewed the bid for the <br /> inmate food service. He is recommending accepting the bid from Summit for $1.479 per meal. <br /> They offered better service. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to accept the bid from Summit for the inmate <br /> food service. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all <br /> voted yeas and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 5. UNION NEGOTIATIONS β€” JERRY PIGSLEY <br /> A) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON FOP LODGE #10 COLLECTIVE BARGAINING <br /> AGREEMENTS - <br /> Jerry Pigsley was present and stated he can give the board good news. The FOP Lodge #10 <br /> has signed the agreement and the Sheriff has also signed. They will receive a 1 '/2% increase <br /> for 2019 through 2021. The Sheriff is managing his deputies on the vacation, comp time and <br /> payment to buy down the comp time. He is addressing shift bidding and shift changes and <br /> training. The negotiations team was Pam, Dick and Ron along with Jim Castleberry. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the FOP Lodge #10 bargaining <br /> agreement and to authorize the board members to sign. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yeas and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Jerry stated he appreciated the leadership and this was accomplished in 2 meetings. Mr. <br /> Peterson stated the deputies and sergeants were open to discussion and it was a good <br /> experience. <br /> B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON HALL COUNTY SERGEANTS COLLECTIVE <br /> BARGAINING AGREEMENT β€”the Sergeants Union also met on the same days as the FOP <br /> and agreed with the same increase of 11/2% and is a 2 year contract. There were 5 sergeants <br /> 2 <br />
