Motion carried <br /> 8 FACILITIES —A) SET BID OPENING FOR SIDE WALK AT DHHS BUILDING 116 SOUTH <br /> PINE FOR JUNE 11, 2019 AT 9:30 A.M. WITH BIDS DUE JUNE 10, 2019 AT 5:00 P.M. Mr. <br /> Humphrey stated this is a sidewalk and there will not be a ramp. The steps will need to be <br /> redone and there will be fewer steps. <br /> Quandt questioned the distance between the building and the sidewalk and it will be next to the <br /> building. He also questioned the run off from the building and Loran stated it will be drained <br /> under the sidewalk. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that the retaining wall will be removed and there will be two egress <br /> openings to the building. <br /> Quandt questioned if the railing was included and it is. He also ask about the completion date <br /> and Loran stated we will have to see what the bids show. <br /> Richardson made a motion and Quandt seconded to set the bid opening for the sidewalk at the <br /> DHHS building for June 11, 2019 at 9:30 a.m. with bids due June 10, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Hartman, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Motion carried <br /> B) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING ASBESTOS INSPECTION AT OLD <br /> HEALTH DEPARTMENT - Mr. Humphrey received an e mail from Gary Carson with Quad-C <br /> Consulting regarding the asbestos inspection at the old health department building. He stated <br /> that he will provide 25 samples and there will be no additional charge. His quote was $480.00. <br /> Bredthauer, Hurst, Hartman, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Motion carried <br /> FIRE SUPPRESSION AT THE COURTHOUSE —discussion was held and Lancaster appointed <br /> an Ad hock committee to discuss this issue. Mr. Fred Hotz will attend and they will have a <br /> conference call with the State of Nebraska. They will have a conference call with the State <br /> Preservation office. They will addresses he question regarding this issue. <br /> Mr. Humphrey reported that Terry Baxter with NIRMA conducted AED, CPR classes and fire <br /> suppression class for several employees. <br /> 12.
