He stated it will take about 4 <br /> weeks to get the windows. <br /> SET BID OPENING FOR COURTHOUSE DOORS MAY 28, 2019, at 9:45 a.m. BIDS DUE MAY <br /> 24, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. bid AT 9:45 A.M. — discussion was held on the type of door that can be <br /> used. Mr. Humphrey stated that the door is designed with the panic bars and it will be hooked <br /> up to the new security system. They will also be able to use a switch at the deputy's desk. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Hurst seconded to set the bid opening for the courthouse doors for <br /> May 28, 2019 at 9:45 a.m. with bids due May 24, 2019 at 5:00 p.m. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> c) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING PAINTING COURTHOUSE- Lancaster <br /> stated that she talked to Judge Fitzgerald from Omaha and he expressed concern on the <br /> condition of the paint in the Courthouse. The painting needs to be done and there is also some <br /> peeling paint. <br /> Bredthauer noted that there dollars in the budget for the Courthouse to be painted. <br /> Peterson stated this could impact the sprinkler system. The committee could also address this. <br /> d) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING REQUEST FROM DHHS FOR <br /> REMODELING - Mr. Humphrey stated that he received an e mail from Cynthia Harris with <br /> DHHS regarding the 116 South Pine Building. They are requesting to do a small remodel and <br /> want to take out a wall. They will pay for the changes but are asking permission to do the <br /> remodel. This will provide a larger waiting area. <br /> Hartman made a motion and Richardson seconded to allow DHHS to make the modifications to <br /> the county building. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Bredthauer noted on the floor plan that it showed 29 desks. This will provide a larger waiting <br /> area. <br /> Quandt questioned if they did this remodel would there need to be a sprinkler system installed? <br /> Loran stated that this building will have 3 exits. <br /> 14. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING RECOMMENDATION OF <br /> APPOINTMENT OF ROBERT REAL TO HALL COUNTY VETERANS SERVICE COMMITTEE <br /> The board received a letter from Veterans Service Officer Don Shuda regarding the retention of <br /> Robert Real to the Hall County Veterans Service Committee. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, <br /> Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 15. DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING HEALTH INSURANCE <br /> EXCLUSIONS — Mr. Peterson stated that there is discussion regarding the health insurance that <br /> there needs to be an executive session. <br /> 16. EXECUTIVE SESSION REGARDING PERSONNEL <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Hartman seconded to go into executive session regarding <br /> personnel and the health insurance.
