Ms. King stated that Start Over Rover housed all of the <br /> dogs and it could have been closer to home. They all need to come up with a plan. <br /> C) PUBLIC WORKS UPDATE - Steve Riehle stated they received the crack sealer last <br /> Wednesday and will finish this week. They need to start patching and will start hauling gravel <br /> this week. Island Land Handlers will not be able to complete the gravel contract by May 1st <br /> They are to have 50% by April 1St and 50% by May 1St. He will calculate the payments and will <br /> move some dollars to the equipment improvement reserve fund. He checked with the State <br /> Auditor's office about this. <br /> J.I.L has not started the grinding for Wood River Road and Steve suggested that they spend <br /> some time on Stolley Park and look at a grinder that is being used there and J.I.L was told they <br /> will not move to Cairo until they finish Wood River Road. <br /> Bredthauer noted the size of the gravel and the aggregate. Steve stated that when you order <br /> gravel you do not want all sand you have to have different size aggregate because it makes a <br /> better road. Steve stated that they check the size and there are pay factors regarding the size. <br /> Island land hands is behind on their contract. Everyone had a late start this year. Steve stated <br /> there are no penalties in the contract but they may address that in the next contract. <br /> Steve participated in a conference call with FEMA and DOT and other parties regarding the <br /> process and he met with Jon Rosenlund on the Hazard mitigation. He also has a conference <br /> call scheduled on some county bridge match dollars. Some of these may be pushed back <br /> because of the flooding. <br /> The county federal aid bridge is on Monitor Road. The Department of Roads is looking at <br /> bridges that were damage in the flood. Our project is scheduled for bids for May 15th and he will <br /> come back May 28th There will be federal aid, State Aid and soft match dollars. The county cost <br /> may only be a $5,000 or $10,000. <br /> Bredthauer ask about the bridge on 70th. The County approved the dollars for the engineering <br /> fees concern on all of the bridges that need repaired if it can be completed. She ask where the <br /> county is on these projects. Steve stated the hydrology report has been done and they will have <br /> the road sage done next week. The bridge project with on Skypark will be a county built bridge <br /> the bridge match dollars have to be completed by December 2020. <br /> Bredthauer ask about the FEMA dollars and she ask about the NCRS projects she called them <br /> and this is different from FEMA and the County would have 60 days and Steve stated he <br /> identified one project that they may cover on 90th Road south of Stoltenberg Irrigation and he <br /> said that is the only one that would qualify. There is a 60 day time frame. Steve did receive a <br /> copy and he is working on it. If a project is does not qualify for FEMA this is a different program. <br /> Hartman noted that the county has one bridge that Olsson is dong on Skypark Road. <br /> 5 <br />
