The vote on the motion was taken. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson <br /> and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 9. 10:00 A.M. PUBLIC HEARING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR JACOB USREY FOR <br /> WEDDING VENUE — Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to open the public <br /> hearing. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted <br /> yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that this is a new conditional use permit at 12296 W Airport Road, Cairo, <br /> Nebraska for a wedding venue. <br /> Chair Lancaster called for public participation. <br /> A neighbor stated that they live next door to the proposed wedding venue and they have talked <br /> to Jacob and have done their homework and are trying to it correctly. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that they have to have a conditional use permit and the permit stays with <br /> the property. It could be for 10 years but most of the permits are shorter. <br /> Peterson noted that permits are not an unlimited time the standard is shorter. Loran stated <br /> there are some permits that are longer if requested. He also talked to Chad Nabity about the <br /> hours and this could be for 5 years with an automatic renewal but that would need to be <br /> addressed in the conditions. The board has options on the number of years. <br /> Hurst ask if they were going to apply for a liquor license and they stated they were not. They <br /> would have it catered and they could apply for a special designated liquor license. <br /> Lancaster stated that this is a new business and suggested 5 years. <br /> Mr. Usrey stated they want the neighbors to be happy with the location. They purchased the <br /> property last July, and added on to the building. They want to run it correctly and want it to be <br /> respectable and safe. They are hiring outside people to help. You cannot control people but <br /> they are working with local hotels with shuttles to transport people. They want to take the <br /> necessary steps to get this done and increase the value of the area. <br /> Richardson ask if they were going to be hiring a manager and they stated they own a <br /> landscaping company and will take of the outside stuff and some will be hired to manage it. <br /> Lancaster noted that the vineyards also have this. <br /> Lancaster called for public participation and no one else responded. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to close the public hearing. Bredthauer, <br /> Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> 9A APPROVE CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT FOR JACOB USREY— Quandt made a motion <br /> and Bredthauer seconded to approve the conditional use permit for five years. Bredthauer, <br /> Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Peterson and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried <br /> 6 <br />
