Lancaster stated there was a need for the Plaza Building and the opportunity came up and they <br /> took advantage of it. <br /> Richardson thanked Mr. Berggren for coming the facility plan is a valuable resource for the <br /> county to use. <br /> Mr. Berggren stated that if the new board members would like to meet with him or give him a <br /> call. <br /> 10a. FACILITIES UPDATE — DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING CARPET BID <br /> Mr. Humphrey was present there was an additional carpet bid that was received February 19, <br /> 2019 at 2:35 p.m. It was mailed in and February 18 was a holiday. The Board can make the <br /> decision to accept or reject the bid. Discussion was held. <br /> Richardson stated since it was a holiday we do not know for certain if it came in before the <br /> board meeting. It was an informal bid and there was not a time set when the bids had to be <br /> received. <br /> Peterson made a motion and Richardson seconded to accept the carpet bid because of the <br /> timing and add to the bids that were received. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Peterson, <br /> Quandt and Richardson all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> C) DISCUSSION ON WAREHOUSE RELOCATION PLAN & UPDATE - <br /> A) -DISCUSSION ON WAREHOUSE RELOCATION PLAN & UPDATE <br /> Mr. Humphrey provided the board member with the relocation plan regarding the warehouse. <br /> • Custodial supplies swill be moved last the supplies will be deliver to the building as <br /> needed so they will not have to be moved twice supplies as order will be delivered to the <br /> office and stored in the shop <br /> • Building materials carpet, tile antique doors trim will be moved to the annex some other <br /> will be moved to the Federal building <br /> • Paint supplies will be moved to the shop <br /> • Ice melt will be moved to the annex building <br /> • Edger snow blower other equipment moved to the shop <br /> • Surplus furniture will be moved last in case an office needs any of it <br /> • County attorney secure files will be moved to the Federal Building <br /> Loran stated thy will be receiving some more office furniture and will have to find a place for it. <br /> It is worth saving and probation may use some of them. The extension office has new furniture <br /> and the surplus is too good to throw away. They use the surplus furniture. <br /> Bredthauer stated the extension has an endowment and they used some of that for the new <br /> office furniture. <br /> Lancaster noted some chair that are in storage upstairs and suggested using them in the board <br /> room. The chairs came from the IT training room. <br /> Mr. Humphrey expressed concern on the 60 day time line to get everting moved. The storage in <br /> the annex building has it limits. When they receive any more furniture he will have to come to <br /> the board to dispose of the excess. <br /> 8 <br />
