C) UPDATE ON COUNTY ATTORNEY SECURITY GLASS FOR RECEPTION AREA- Mr.
Humphrey reported that the frame work has been installed and they are just waiting to install the
glass. He stated it should be completed this week.
D) UPDATE ON SOUTH PINE HHS — Doone stated that they have completed the interior work
in the building on the counter and the carpet. The last step will be to make the front ADA
assessable.
Quandt noted that the railing for the ramp and steps were not included in the first estimate and it
will be about $4,000.00. He expressed concern on the costs and questioned how much more
the board wants to put in this building.
Richardson noted that there is a good relationship with DHHS and it is going in a good direction.
If these items were left out it was just an estimated and can be added.
Bredthauer questioned if Cynthia Harris gave them a time frame of how long they would stay in
that building and questioned if the Medicaid expansion would require more employees. Mr.
Humphrey stated that they do not plan on adding more employees at this location it would be at
the north pine location. He stated that if it is over$60,000.00 he may not recommend doing the
project. The ramp will be addressed in the spring.
E) UPDATE ON ROOF LEAK AT FEDERAL BUILDING - Mr. Humphrey showed pictures of the
roof cap and where the roof cap coating is cracked and possibly causing the leaks. This roof is
a cement slab and it has a coating on it. He had Weather Craft look at the roof and it could be
20 years old. The roof does have a warranty and he is trying to get information on it.
Bredthauer ask if he had any information regarding the safety assessment and Loran stated he
has not received it yet.
Mr. Humphrey reported that there will be 9 conditional use permits that will be coming due. He
has been working on an application from Verison and it was sold and they are trying to find the
new company.
13. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING APPOINTMENTS TO SPECIAL
COMMITTEES &AD HOCK COMMITTEES— Bonnie provided the board members with a list of
the committees. Lancaster noted that the chair usually makes the appointments; she will work
with dick and try to insure that people are on committees that they are interested in. Discussion
was held on alternate to committees and Lancaster suggested that any board member could
attend.
Richardson made a motion to keep the committees the same as last year and have the chair
selected alternates to the committees.
Lancaster she does not have an issue to have any board member attend.
Quandt expressed concern on the issue that representative may not attend the meetings it
should be up to the person to find someone to attend. There needs to be an alternate when
people do not attend the meetings there needs to be a representative.
8
