SET DATES FOR REFEREE HEARINGS AND BOARD OF EQUALIZATION HEARINGS AND FINAL ACTION — Pelland stated that the notices will be sent out by June 1, 2017 and the informal hearings will be set for the last 3 weeks in June. There was $17,239,874.00 in growth that could not be counted this would include growth on various TIF projects that cannot be counted. She stated that last year at abstract time it was $5,002,948,356.00 and at certification time the valuation for real estate it was $4,990,687,706.00 The new valuation for real estate this year is $5,076,378,191.00 so it increased by $85,690,485.00 even though she lowered the irrigated crop land value this year. She stated they did a lot of extra work with the pictometry review, they followed Zillow, properties that were advertised in the newspaper for sale. They found a lot of finished basements, extra bathrooms and they also did a commercial update on the properties outside of the city of Grand Island.
