Lancaster noted that 30% of the properties that come to the Board of Equalization <br /> receive adjustments. Pelland stated that when the hearings are over she will run <br /> statistical information on the Board of Equalization process. <br /> Quandt noted that they did receive some good news. Pelland stated that there were 6 <br /> Platte River Whooping Crane Trust cases that went to TERC and the hearing was held <br /> in October 2016. They just received information that TERC ruled in favor of the county <br /> on the 6 2015 cases. There are also 32 appeals for 2016 and she stated that she and <br /> Jack discussed this and they feel that they will take this decision to the Court of <br /> Appeals. TERC may not schedule the 2016 cases until the appeal to the Court of <br /> appeals is completed. <br /> Quandt questioned if ag land is sold and if they have a current appraisal would it be <br /> considered and Pelland stated that an appraisal will be considered. <br /> Pelland stated that LB 338 the Governors bill for the income approach on ag land <br /> valuation was discussed and she asked John Cannon what would be used to determine <br /> the valuation. He stated that they would give a range for the valuation.
