Lancaster noted a few years ago there was an issue with the FAA regulations regarding the buffer zone at the airport and there was revenue received and it was not taxable but that was different. Mr. Adam stated that any revenue from the leases is going back into the land and not the trust. Lanfear expressed concern increasing the amount of land that is tax exempt. He stated he is comfortable going to TERC. Richardson questioned how much of the land is leased and he stated 50%. Schuppan stated this is disturbing, he lives south of river and there where cranes before and there will continue to be cranes. You can stand in his backyard and look at the cranes. This erodes the tax base and they have to make a stand. He cannot understand the attitude of comparing a church to cranes. Mr. Adam stated he is asking them to consider the law. Lancaster made a motion and Purdy seconded to go out of the public hearing. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve all of the former exemption applications and the new exemption applications.
