F) INFORMATION REGARDING 1 & 6 YEAR PLAN FOR FACILITIES - Mr. Humphrey stated <br /> that the conditional use permits and the 1 & 6 year plan for facilities can be addressed at the <br /> February 5, 2019 meeting. <br /> He also noted that since December 151 he has used 200 pounds of ice melt and in past years <br /> they use more in March. <br /> 13. b) APPOINTMENT BY CHAIR FOR AD HOC COMMITTEE FOR AMBULANCE <br /> CONTRACT— Lancaster noted that this will be a multi-year contract. Gary Quandt, Karen <br /> Bredthauer and Dick Hartman were appointed for the ad hoc committee for the ambulance <br /> contract. <br /> c) APPOINTMENT BY CHAIR FOR AD HOC COMMITTEE FOR AUDIT— Lancaster appointed <br /> Jane Richardson and Ron Peterson and she will serve on the ad hoc committee for audit. <br /> Lancaster stated that she has appointed board members to serve as a contact person for <br /> certain department. This will spread the duties around. The information can funnel through the <br /> contact person. Richardson ask what the duties would be and Pam stated this is for a contact <br /> person for department to get ahold of. She wanted to spread the duties out. <br /> Jane Richardson - transit issues <br /> Dick Hartman - road department <br /> Butch Hurst - sheriff's department <br /> Pam Lancaster— corrections department <br /> Gary Quandt—facilities <br /> Ron Peterson — IT department <br /> Karen Bredthauer—Chad Nabity Regional Planning <br /> 14. DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING LEGAL COUNSEL FOR UNION <br /> NEGOTIATIONS - Lancaster stated that the board received a letter from Mark Fahleson with <br /> RemboltlLudtke and from Jerry Pugsley with Woods &Aitken expressing interest regarding the <br /> union negotiations. Discussion was held. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to hire Jerry Pigsley with Woods & Aitken for <br /> the union negotiations. <br /> Quandt suggested that he would like to see Sarah Carstensen work with Mr. Pigsley and attend <br /> the meetings. Mr. Peterson noted they worked with Pam Bourne with Wood &Aitken and it <br /> went well. <br /> County Attorney Marty Klein stated he has worked with Mark Young with union negotiations and <br /> they saved money and if Sarah is willing he supports her doing the work. <br /> Richardson stated she had worked with Mr. Fahleson and would like to use him. <br /> The vote on the motion was taken. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt and <br /> Petersen all vote yes and Richardson voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 17. UPDATE & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING SICK LEAVE ISSUE - Mr. Petersen stated <br /> that received a legal opinion from Pam Bourne and the board needs time to read and study this. <br /> 10 <br />
