FACILITIES - LANCASTER <br /> a)UPDATE AND AUTHORIZATION TO ACCEPT INFORMAL BIDS FOR TRANSFER SWITCH <br /> FOR BACK-UP GENERATOR FOR IT PANEL —This was added because of the changes on <br /> the County purchasing policy regarding the informal bids. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to approve the request for informal bids for <br /> the back-up generator for the IT. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Petersen and <br /> Richardson all vote yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> B) OPEN INFORMAL BIDS FOR TRANSFER SWITCH FOR BACK-UP GENERATOR FOR IT <br /> PANEL-the follow informal bids were received. <br /> INFORMAL BIDDER TOTAL BID <br /> Middleton Electric Inc. $9,730.00 <br /> Tri City Electric $13,244.48 (wiring $6,622.24, material $2,782.24, <br /> Labor$3,840.00) <br /> Island Indoor Climate $18,500.00 <br /> Mettenbrink Electric Corp. $9,800.00 <br /> Quandt made a motion and Richardson seconded to refer the bids to Mr. Humphrey at Building <br /> & Grounds and come back with a recommendation. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, <br /> Quandt, Petersen and Richardson all vote yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> D)DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION TO HIRE MASTER BUILDER ASSOCIATES TO <br /> DESIGN ADA ACCESS TO 116 SOUTH PINE - Mr. Humphrey contacted Kenneth Frederick <br /> with Master Builder Associates requesting assistance with the bid documents for the ADA <br /> improvement at 116 South Pine. He stated that with the preliminary information provided by <br /> County Surveyor Scott Peters he is suggesting a sidewalk system at a slop to not exceed 1:20 <br /> instead of construction a concrete ramp. He stated that he is interested in providing the <br /> professional services. The total cost would be $4,900.00 Mr. Humphrey stated that this would <br /> cost half of what the other proposal would be and he is asking the board to consider this <br /> contract. <br /> Richardson noted that he is familiar with the project because he did the ADA assessment. <br /> Lancaster noted that this is a good way to address the entrance and Mr. Frederick is well versed <br /> with the issue. Mr. Humphrey stated that he has talked to the state and informed them that the <br /> county was looking at another option. The current steps would not have to be changed they <br /> would just need to change the railings. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Bredthauer seconded to hire Master Builders to design the ADA <br /> access to 116 South Pine. Bredthauer, Hartman, Hurst, Lancaster, Quandt, Petersen and <br /> Richardson all vote yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> E) INFORMATION REGARDING CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT RENEWALS <br /> 9 <br />
