Arnold stated <br /> that he talked to the mechanics has the service history on the vehicle and they stated <br /> that the generator that provides the power for the lights and accessories will not work. <br /> He stated that the best on line site would be the Big Iron web site to sell it. <br /> Mr. Zitterkopf would need to prepare a resolution to declare it surplus. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Lancaster seconded to authorize Jack Zitterkopf to prepare a <br /> resolution to declare the bookmobile surplus property and consign it at the auction. <br /> Arnold questioned if it should go to the auction or ask for sealed bids. <br /> Quandt stated that if it is only worth $1,000.00 or $1,500.00 suggested that the sheriffs <br /> posse could use it. They would need to bid on it also. <br /> Jeffries stated that he has received calls and if it has a diesel engine it has some value. <br /> He suggested parking it at the public works department to sell it. <br /> Quandt suggested selling it at the city/county auction. <br /> Arnold stated that if they use the on line sale it will generate more interest than sealed <br /> bids. Almost anyone can get the internet. <br /> Jeffries stated that he does not want to eliminate the local bidders. <br /> Lancaster stated that she want to see something done and get past this it has been drug <br /> on and on. Make the resolution to declare it surplus and get it done. <br /> Purdy questioned if it could not be added to Casey's list, but it needs to be declared <br /> surplus. <br /> The vote on the motion was taken. Arnold, Jeffries, Lancaster, Purdy Quandt, Rye and <br /> Wagoner all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS—Wagoner stated that he was to <br /> attend the CNCS meeting in Loup City but because concerns on the weather they held a <br /> conference call. <br /> Quandt stated that the Hall County Weed Control Authority Board voted to allow the <br /> household hazardous waste to locate on the property. <br /> Lancaster reported that they held a building & grounds committee meeting yesterday <br /> and there was another leak at the courthouse annex so there is no running water. The <br /> goal was to have any of the change orders for the jail bond dollars completed by the end <br /> of January so the projects can be completed before the end of the fiscal year. The <br /> concern is that these leaks have to be taken care this is an emergency situation. It could <br /> be $20,000.00 to $25,000.00 to repair them. <br /> Building & Grounds Director Loren Humphrey stated that the pipes that lead to the court <br /> house are old and they have broken 4 times. When this happens it floods the tunnel <br /> 6 <br />
