BYLAWS OF CENTRAL NEBRASKA DISTRICT COUNTY OFFICIALS ASSOCIATION <br /> ARTICLE IV <br /> OFFICERS <br /> The Association shall elect a President,A Vice President, a Secretary/Treasurer and a District <br /> Director, who shall serve as the District Director of Nebraska Association of County Officials.The <br /> officers shall be elected bi-annually at the March meeting and take office immediately,except for <br /> the District Director.The term of office for the President,Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer <br /> shall be for two years.The District Director shall be elected for a term of two years, which term <br /> shall commence January 1, 1998, and every two years thereafter.The election of the District <br /> director shall be held at the fall meeting, in the odd year preceding the beginning of the two year <br /> term.The District Director shall not exceed three consecutive terms of office.This tenure excludes <br /> time served as a Director appointed to fill a vacancy.The District Director shall be a county board <br /> member.The President,Vice President, and Secretary/Treasurer shall be elected by a majority <br /> vote of all members present at said meeting. The District Director shall be elected by one vote per <br /> county. In the event of a vacancy in an Executive Office,the position shall be filled by an <br /> appointment made by the remaining Executive Officers based upon a recommendation by the <br /> nominating committee. In the event of a vacancy of the Central District Director of the Nebraska <br /> Association of the County Officials, a recommendation shall be made by the sitting Central District <br /> Executive Committee to the NACO Board of Directors,which shall fill the vacancy.The Officer's <br /> duties within the District shall be the District the same as the officers of the Nebraska Association of <br /> County Officials is for the Association. <br /> 2 <br />
