The contract was <br /> awarded at the September 4, 2018 board meeting to J.I.L. Asphalt Paving Co. as the low <br /> bidder with all projects tied. The bid award was made with the understanding that a change <br /> order would be brought forward at a future board meeting that: <br /> 1. Extended the project completion date by 2 weeks. <br /> 2. Substituted "SPR Fine" asphaltic concrete for the "LC" mix that was bid for the project on <br /> Hillside Drive east of NE Hwy 11 in Cairo. <br /> Discussion <br /> The project completion is being extended 2 weeks because the contract award was delayed to <br /> 2 weeks after the bid opening. <br /> The "SPR Fine" asphaltic concrete mix design will reduce the cost of the resurfacing on Hillside <br /> Drive by almost $10,000 and is considered a comparable mix. <br /> Recommendation <br /> Approve the change order. <br /> (, a tPgAjt.. <br /> Steven P.
