Schuppan was absent. <br /> 13 B) UPDATE ON TREE PROJECT AT VETERANS PARK- Mr. Humphrey stated that this ties <br /> in with item 13 e regarding the sprinkler system. He met with the Veterans Board and they <br /> decided not to plan as many trees. He has a grant for 20 trees and will order 25 more and they <br /> will be placed accordingly. There will be about $17,000.00 left that could be used for the <br /> sprinkler system. Mr. Ponte sent a letter to the County Board requesting permission to spend <br /> the dollars on the sprinkler system. <br /> 13E) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING ADDING ADDITIONAL SPRINKLER <br /> SYSTEM FOR THE VETERANS PARK GROUNDS ADDED 10/1/2018 8:35 A.M. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to allow the Veterans Board to use the <br /> additional dollars for the sprinkler system. Schuppan was absent. <br /> 13 D) DISCUSS LETTER FROM RYAN REED REGARDING PROPOSED WORK TO <br /> COURTHOUSE — Mr. Humphrey provide the board members with a copy of the a mail from <br /> Ryan reed regarding the proposed work to the Courthouse. He worked will Jill Dolberg and she <br /> contacted Ryan Reed. They did not use an architect on the renovations for the interior, exterior <br /> steps, windows and balcony but they are following the guidelines and doing it the right way so <br /> they could apply for tax credits. He wanted to bring this to the board for direction. <br /> Arnold noted that they have stayed true to the integrity of the Courthouse and it makes sense <br /> financially to retain the tax credits, but the county has to pay the cost of applying for them. <br /> 4 <br />
