9:10 a.m. Held a Board of Equalization meeting <br /> 9:16 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Equalization meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION - Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> The executive sessions will be held at the end of the meeting. <br /> 4 C) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON CENTRAL DISTRICT HEALTH DEPARTMENT <br /> INTERLOCAL COOPERATION AGREEMENT BETWEEN THE CITIES OF GRAND ISLAND, <br /> AURORA AND THE COUNTIES OF HALL & MERRICK— County Attorney Sarah Carstensen <br /> stated that she received a letter from Theresa Anderson from the Health Department with a <br /> revised agreement. It was too late to get it on the agenda for the last meeting. The City of <br /> Aurora is requesting to be part of the interlocal agreement. She noted page 2 that adds an <br /> additional board member from Aurora and also a public spirited citizen. She also noted that <br /> there was a typographical error that was corrected. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to correct the typographical error and approve ' <br /> the revised agreement. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt and Richardson all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. Schuppan was absent. <br /> Lancaster noted that when documents arrive late it is difficult for the County Attorney to review <br /> them. The items that need to be reviewed should be received no later than Wednesday prior to <br /> the Tuesday board meeting. <br /> 13. FACILITIES—A) UPDATE ON QUOTE FOR DOOR FOR ELECTION COMMISSIONER - <br /> The Board members received a letter from Deputy Secretary of State Wayne Bena regarding <br /> the construction of the door. He noted Nebraska State Statute 32-216 allowing the election <br /> commissioner to purchase material equipment or services needed to meet any emergency <br /> issues regarding the election process required by the Election Act. Mr. Humphrey provided a <br /> copy of the quote from Baker Development Company for the installation of a wall and the door <br /> for the hallway. The total for the materials and labor was $2,900.00. The wall and the door <br /> have been installed. He stated that he will also have them make the changes to the bannister in <br /> the judge's chamber. Discussion was held on painting the wall and staining the door. Mr. <br /> Humphrey will match the paint with the rest of the building. <br /> Lancaster thanked him for getting it done quickly. She also noted that Tracey is in need of <br /> additional storage space and Marla conley was able to move some file boxes so she will have <br /> an empty cabinet to use. <br /> 5. 9:30 A.M. BID OPENING COURTHOUSE STORM WINDOWS—Quandt made a motion and <br /> Lanfear seconded to open the bids for the Courthouse storm windows. The following bid was <br /> received. <br /> Mid Plains Construction Co. Total Bid $170,528.00 <br /> 1319 West North Front Street <br /> Grand Island, Nebraska <br /> Quandt made a motion and Arnold seconded to refer the bids to Mr. Humphrey for review. <br /> 3 <br />
