SUMMARY OF WORK: <br /> A. Work consists of removing and disposing "old aluminum storm windows",scraping, and <br /> cleaning old caulking around the window frames. <br /> B. Existing interior framing to be inspected for deterioration. <br /> C. If no deterioration present then scrape and paint. <br /> D. In the case of deterioration of surfaces contact the Facilities Director. <br /> E. Clean property of all debris around and inside building from the demolition and installation. <br /> STORM WINDOW SPECIFICATION: <br /> A. Replacement windows are to be aluminum, custom built to mirror the shape and color of <br /> the interior windows with low-e glass <br /> B. The storm windows are to be mounted to the existing perimeter wood brick mold of original <br /> windows. Installation will require a 1/2 inch board to be fastened to the brick mold to better <br /> support the storm window.Storm windows are NOT TO BE FASTENED TO ADJACENT STONE! <br /> C. Color of framing to be EBONY GREEN and samples are to be provided FOR APPROVAL BY <br /> THE OWNER <br /> D. New fixed windows will be manufactured to match the arch of the lower windows <br /> E. All new storm windows will be designed to be removed from the inside only for cleaning and <br /> maintenance purposes. <br /> The contractor is responsible to verify measurements of all windows and doors <br /> to be replaced.
