SPECIAL CONDITIONS: <br /> A. It is the intent of these Specifications for the Contract to provide all work, supervision labor, <br /> materials, transportation, and any other services necessary to perform the General <br /> Construction for storm window removal and replacement, complete in every detail, within <br /> the limits.Also to paint the exterior of the inside windows prior to installing new storm <br /> windows. <br /> B. Contractor shall secure and pay for all permits and governmental fees as necessary for the <br /> completion of the work <br /> C. Contractor is requested to examine the site and location of existing buildings if any and <br /> inform himself/herself to all conditions including other work if any, being performed. <br /> D. Contractor will provide and maintain temporary toilets. (Existing toilets may be used with <br /> the Owners permission). <br /> E. Contractor shall, immediately upon entering the project site for the purpose of beginning <br /> work, locate all general reference points and take such as is necessary to prevent their <br /> destruction; lay out his/her own work and be responsible for all lines, elevations and <br /> measurements of building and other work executed by him/her under the contract. <br /> F. Contractor shall maintain all areas of the site and of the building free from hazards or <br /> obstructive rubbish and debris, due to performance of the work during construction. <br /> G. Wind and water erosion control (as required) as it effects the building operations and <br /> neighboring property owners shall be the responsibility of the general contractor. <br /> H. Before final acceptance of the building, walks, drives and building grounds shall be flushed <br /> clean, and all rubbish removed from the site. <br /> I. The building is to be made and kept watertight and all windows and door openings to be <br /> closed with sash or canvas to prevent storm damage within building.All work must be <br /> carried out in a way that will prevent damage to present portions of building and the <br /> Contractor is to be held responsible for complete and perfect repair of any damage which <br /> may be caused by his/her work. This will require patching or replacement of present <br /> flooring, plaster, woodwork, doors, lighting fixtures, plumbing fixtures, heating equipment, <br /> piping, and wiring, etc., which may be damage during construction. <br /> J. Work on this project is to be carried out in such a manner as to prevent interference with <br /> continued use of the building <br /> K. Two means of access to the building must be kept clear for use at all times.Work shall be <br /> scheduled with Owner to prevent interference with use of present building as much as <br /> possible. NOTE; Work may be done on weekends, nights and Holidays. <br /> L. General Contractor will provide protection of openings to prevent dust and dirt from <br /> entering the building at all times. <br />
