Desh Paine. He noted the repairs that will be necessary for the 7 stones in the pictures. Some <br /> of the names on the stones are hard to read and he noted the Wilhelm Dunnerman maker and <br /> noted some of the history. He stated that they went out last week but it will need to be mowed. <br /> Discussion was held and Mr. Riehle stated that they should be able to mow next Tuesday or <br /> Wednesday and he will let Mr. Irwin know. <br /> Bredthauer made a motion and Lancaster seconded to allow Desh Paine to set and level 7 <br /> stones at the Grand Island East Cemetery. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 8. 9:45 A.M. BID OPENING FOR THIRD FLOOR BALCONY DOOR/WINDOW RESTORATION <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to open the bid for the Third Floor Balcony <br /> Door/Window Restoration. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and <br /> Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> The following bids were received. <br /> BIDDER TOTAL BID <br /> ICMS <br /> 717 West Anna <br /> Grand Island, NE $143,355.00 Cashier's Check enclosed <br /> Mid Plains Construction <br /> 1319 W North Front <br /> Grand Island, NE $64,680.00 Cashier's Check enclosed <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to refer the bids to Building & Grounds to review <br /> and come back with a recommendation. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 16. HEARTLAND UNITED WAY KICK OFF CAMPAIGN FOR HALL COUNTY - Bredthauer <br /> stated that she was ask to chair the United Way campaign for Hall County and Gary will co- <br /> chair. They do good things for the community and she hope it will be a good campaign. <br /> 28. FACILITIES-APPROVE ALTERNATE LOCATION FOR INTERPRETER OFFICE-Arnold <br /> stated that this was discussed at the last meeting and the location has been changed to the <br /> general typing area. This change will save money and labor because they will not have to put <br /> up a wall and will only have to move a door back. There was board action to put it in the front <br /> office but now it will be in the deputy's typing area. <br /> Arnold made a motion to locate the court interpreter office in the deputy's typing area. There is <br /> a window that faces to the front and the office is to the left as you walk in. <br /> County Attorney Sarah Carstensen stated that she did talk to the Court Interpreter and she <br /> stated that she will meet with people by appointment only regarding the testing so there will be <br /> minimal traffic. Some of the work has been done. <br /> The vote on the motion was taken Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no.
