6. 10:00 A. M PUBLIC HEARING REGARDING PROPOSED VACATION OF A PORTION OF <br /> PLATTE STREET - Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to open the public hearing. <br /> Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Motion carried <br /> Mr. Nabity was present and stated that this is a small portion of Platte Street across from <br /> Mormon Island it is in Nembo Subdivision and it is only 120 feet long. They are proposing to <br /> vacate 60 feet so they can redevelop Wilkinson subdivision. Mr. Bosselman is present for this <br /> hearing. There is no action today but there will be a resolution to vacate at the June 12, 2018 <br /> meeting. <br /> Arnold stated that he usually has a concern of returning public right of way and giving up that <br /> control but this is on the Platte River and 180 and they will not need access to that road. It is a <br /> unique piece of property. Bockman's already have an easement to access their property. <br /> Chair Richardson called for public participation and no one responded. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to close the public hearing. Arnold, <br /> Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried <br /> Mr. Nabity stated that there was no opposition to this proposal. <br /> 14. DISCUSS AND APPROVE RESOLUTION FOR AN INMATE TRUST ACCOUNT FOR <br /> COMMISSARY SERVICES - Todd Bahensky was present and the board had established a <br /> policy that to open or close accounts it has to approved by a resolution. This is to insure that <br /> the County Board is aware of the accounts. Todd stated that they currently have an inmate trust <br /> account for the inmate's money, bonds and the commissary services. They are changing to a <br /> new commissary company and need to set up a separate account for the new company. They <br /> will deposit $500.00 in that account to open it and once funds are deposited they will take it out. <br /> They will continue to keep the old account open until they are sure all of the checks have <br /> cleared. Sarah has copies of the resolutions. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve Resolution #18-017 to establish the <br /> inmate trust account for the commissary services. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 4 <br />
