RESOLUTION#18- Q ( 1 <br /> A RESOLUTION OPENING A NEW INMATE TRUST ACCOUNT AT EQUITABLE BANK, <br /> TRANSFERING $500 FROM PETTY CASH TO OPEN THE ACCOUNT, ALLOWING <br /> SUMMIT FOOD SERVICE TO SET UP TRANSACTIONS FOR COMMISSARY SERVICES, <br /> TRANSFERING$500 BACK TO PETTY CASH ONCE THE ACCOUNT IS ESTABLISHED, <br /> CLOSE THE EXISTING ACCOUNT AFTER A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME <br /> WHEREAS, the Hall County Board of Supervisors has the authority to manage county <br /> funds and county business according to NEB.REV.STAT. §23-106; and <br /> WHEREAS, on April 24, 2012, the Hall County Board of Supervisors passed Resolution <br /> #12-026 requiring county officials to obtain the approval of said Board to open or close bank <br /> accounts; and. <br /> WHEREAS, the Hall County Department of Corrections has requested the authority to <br /> establish a new Inmate Trust Account, temporarily use petty cash to establish the account, and to <br /> close the existing account after a reasonable amount of time has passed for checks to clear; <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Hall County Board of Supervisors that: <br /> 1. The Hall County Department of Corrections may open a new Inmate Trust Account at <br /> Equitable Bank for the purpose of facilitating commissary services. <br /> 2. $500.00 of the Hall County Corrections Department Petty Cash fund at Equitable <br /> Bank is to be temporarily transferred to the new Hall County Department of Corrections Inmate <br /> Trust Account at Equitable Bank for the purpose of opening the account. <br /> 3. Once the new Inmate Trust Account has been established, the $500.00 from the Petty <br /> Cash fund shall be returned to the Petty Cash fund. <br /> 4. Summit Food Service is allowed to set up transactions with the new account for <br /> commissary services pursuant to the County's contract with Summit Food Service. <br /> 5. The existing Hall County Department of Corrections Inmate Trust Account at <br /> Equitable Bank is to be closed once all outstanding checks have cleared or one year passes, <br /> whichever occurs first in time. <br /> Resolution moved by Supervisor OLL q G v\ r . <br /> Seconded by Supervisor cSpca 4k `nsi <br />
