Mr. Humphrey stated he contacted a number of banks and he did have one phone call. Mr. Humphrey stated he will need to <br /> contact the department of revenue and he will update the board at the next meeting. <br /> CONTINUED DISCUSSION ON THE WATER COOLER—Schuppan stated this has been <br /> discussed in length and there needs to be a decision. <br /> Richardson stated she likes the idea to rent a unit. Loran stated that they would take care of the <br /> filters and there would just be a monthly charge. <br /> Quandt expressed concern on the bidding practices. Quandt noted the veterans should be able <br /> to have the same system. He questioned why they did not have 3 proposals. The cost is under <br /> $5,000.00 so they did not Quandt stated that they still could get 3 proposals. <br /> Bredthauer stated the other buildings have the coolers so they need to be the same, $69.00 a <br /> month will cost more than owning a machine over 10 years. <br /> Discussion on the filters and Loran stated they are change about 4 times a year in this building <br /> at a cost of about $137.00 depending on usage. <br /> Richardson stated that regarding the bidding issues if had to get bids on everything that is all <br /> Doone would get done it needs to be narrowed down. She also noted the traffic would not be <br /> comparable. She would like to use the filtered water rented system and see how it goes. <br /> Richardson motion to use the $69.00 a month rental system and see how it goes Mr. <br /> Humphrey stated the company is Quality Sound Water Systems. Arnold seconded the motion <br /> but requested to also get 3 quotes from companies. This would not violate any bids when you <br /> use the informal bidding process you try to get the best price you can. <br /> Lancaster noted that this is a county building and we ask him to move. We need to be <br /> consistent building to building. <br /> Mr. Shuda stated this has to be ADA compatible. He ask who buys the cups. <br /> Quandt questioned who will pay for this. Lanfear stated that this has not been budgeted and <br /> that is his question. <br /> Stacey Ruzicka stated that this needs to come from the Building & Grounds and the supplies <br /> are purchased the same it is no different than toilet paper. <br /> The vote on the motion to use the rental water cooler was taken. Arnold, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and Bredthauer, Lancaster and Lanfear voted no. Motion carried. <br /> e) UPDATE ON VETERANS PARK- Mr. Humphrey stated that he has ordered the trees and <br /> will have a Boy Scout troop plant them on November 11. Dan Douglas and Bailey Gibson made <br /> a map to mark where the trees are to be planted. The holes for the trees will be predrilled and <br /> he hopes the weather will hold out. They are also working on the sprinkler system and will <br /> address that in a committee meeting. Mr. Humphrey stated that they found that they own more <br /> 4 <br />
