Richardson motion to use the $69.00 a month rental system and see how it goes Mr. Humphrey stated the company is Quality Sound Water Systems. Arnold seconded the motion but requested to also get 3 quotes from companies. This would not violate any bids when you use the informal bidding process you try to get the best price you can. Lancaster noted that this is a county building and we ask him to move. We need to be consistent building to building. Mr. Shuda stated this has to be ADA compatible. He ask who buys the cups. Quandt questioned who will pay for this. Lanfear stated that this has not been budgeted and q pY g that is his question. Stacey Ruzicka stated that this needs to come from the Building & Grounds and the supplies are purchased the same it is no different than toilet paper. The vote on the motion to use the rental water cooler was taken. Arnold, Lanfear, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and Bredthauer, Lancaster and Quandt voted no. Motion carried. e) UPDATE ON VETERANS PARK- Mr. Humphrey stated that he has ordered the trees and will have a Boy Scout troop plant them on November 11. Dan Douglas and Bailey Gibson made a map to mark where the trees are to be planted. The holes for the trees will be predrilled and he hopes the weather will hold out. They are also working on the sprinkler system and will address that in a committee meeting. Mr. Humphrey stated that they found that they own more property closer to Broadwell so they have extended the sprinkler system to take care of the grass and the new trees. Mr. Ponte stated that it is going well. 10:00 AM — BID OPENING FOR BRIDGE MATERIALS PILING & SPLICE PLATES FOR C40 (378) & C40 (393)—Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to open the bids for the bridge materials. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. Casey stated that the estimated cost was $49,600.00 to high estimate $54,600.00. The following bids were received. BIDDER TOTAL BID Husker Steel $50,680.00 Midwest Sales & Service $54,899.18 Quandt made a motion and Schuppan seconded to refer the bids to the public works committee and come back today with a recommendation. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 5
