Motion carried. <br /> e) UPDATE ON VETERANS PARK- Mr. Humphrey stated that he has ordered the trees and <br /> will have a Boy Scout troop plant them on November 11. Dan Douglas and Bailey Gibson made <br /> a map to mark where the trees are to be planted. The holes for the trees will be predrilled and <br /> he hopes the weather will hold out. They are also working on the sprinkler system and will <br /> address that in a committee meeting. Mr. Humphrey stated that they found that they own more <br /> property closer to Broadwell so they have extended the sprinkler system to take care of the <br /> grass and the new trees. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Casey stated that the estimated cost was $49,600.00 to high estimate $54,600.00. <br /> The following bids were received. <br /> BIDDER TOTAL BID <br /> Husker Steel $50,680.00 <br /> Midwest Sales & Service $54,899.18 <br /> Quandt made a motion and Schuppan seconded to refer the bids to the public works committee <br /> and come back today with a recommendation.
