Arnold, Bredthauer, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan <br /> all voted yes and none voted no. Lancaster was absent. Motion carried. <br /> BOILER BID RECOMMENDATION - Mr. Humphrey reviewed the bids for the boiler installation <br /> and noted the difference in price from Johnson Controls because they pay their employees <br /> more and Indoor Climate and Uden are both local companies. They bid the same units from the <br /> same suppliers. The units are just unplugged to remove and plugged back in and the units are <br /> not heavy. He stated that he has had Indoor Climate do work in other county buildings. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Schuppan seconded to award the bid for the boiler for the County <br /> Attorney Building to Island Indoor Climate. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Lancaster was absent. Motion carried. <br /> D) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION CONCERNING EAKES OFFICE BILL FOR SHELVING <br /> IN CHILD SUPPORT AREA OF FEDERAL BLDG. — Mr. Humphrey provided copies of the bid <br /> for the shelving this is off of a Fairfax County Contract#4400005273 NJPA RFP #03715-ST1 <br /> state pricing. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the purchase of the office furniture for <br /> the Child Support offices in the Federal Building. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Lancaster was absent. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Vice Chairman Richardson called for a break to review the bids for the renovations of the <br /> exterior stairs for the Hall County Courthouse. <br /> RECOMMENDATION ON BIDS FOR STEP RENOVATIONS - Returned to session. Mr. <br /> Humphrey stated that the committee reviewed the bids and they are recommending Mid- <br /> Continental Restoration Co., Inc. for the base bid for the steps in the amount of$55,453.00 and <br /> the alternate bid for cleaning the entire building in the amount of$43,186.00. The total bid <br /> would be $98,639.00. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Arnold seconded to award the bid to Mid-Continental Restoration <br /> Co. for$98,639.00 and authorize the chair to sign the contract. <br /> Schuppan questioned when this would be completed and Mr. Humphrey stated that it is 1 year <br /> out and would be completed during the summer. The price will be locked in and the completion <br /> will depend on the weather. <br /> The vote on the motion to award the bid was taken. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lanfear, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Lancaster was absent. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> Held a seven minute break until the 10:30 a.m. Board of Corrections meeting. <br /> 10:30 a.m. returned to session <br /> 7 <br />
