He thought they were going to go with <br /> the bottled water. He expressed concern that there is not enough traffic in that building. <br /> Lancaster noted the original cooler did not work. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Quandt seconded to table this and come back in two weeks. <br /> Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt and Schuppan all voted yes and Arnold voted no. Motion carried <br /> 6 d) THANK YOU AND DONATION TO HALL COUNTY PARK—Mr. Humphrey provided the <br /> board with thank you notes from people who stayed at the Hall County Park. And people would <br /> make donations for the landscaping <br /> Stacey noted that there is a fund and line items for donations to the park and the Sheriff' <br /> Department. She noted the line items and if needed you can add another line item for the <br /> landscaping. <br /> Lanfear made a motion to approve the donation boxes for the Hall County Park <br /> Lancaster questioned was held if there could be a receipt for the people who make donations. <br /> Jack had expressed concern on the boxes and the money in them at the last meeting. <br /> Lanfear withdrew his motion and this will go back to the committee. <br /> 6e) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON SKID STEER RENTAL CONTRACT FOR 2017 <br /> 2018 FISCAL YEAR—Mr. Humphrey stated this is a new contract for a skid steer rental by <br /> p Y <br /> using this they have a new unit every year. This was discussed at budget time. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the rental contract for the 2017 skid <br /> steer. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Bredthauer and Richardson were absent. Motion carried <br /> 6 f)SET A BID OPENING DATE FOR THE RESTORATION OF THE COURTHOUSE OUT <br /> SIDE STEPS— Mr. Humphrey provided copies of the specifications for the renovations of the <br /> outside steps and the alternate bid for washing the entire building. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Schuppan seconded to set the bid opening for November 14, 2017 <br /> at 10:00 a.m. with bids due November 13, 2017 at 5:00 p.m. <br /> Mr. Humphrey stated that the outside steps can be cleaned and resealed and there is an option <br /> to clean the entire building. <br /> Quandt questioned if Loran used the proposal to draw up the bid specifications. Mr. Humphrey <br /> stated that he had permission to use the specifications, this is standard procedure. Quandt <br /> questioned how he could use them and it would be an unfair advantage to use proposals from <br /> another company. <br /> Mr. Zitterkopf stated that contractors use proposal to draw up specification they have to have an <br /> example form somewhere. Everyone can bid this nothing in the specifications directs to a <br /> certain company. <br /> 6 <br />
