COUNTY ATTORNEY— DISCUSSION &ACTION ON AMENDMENT OF CONSERVATION
EASEMENT - County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf that this information and resolution came from
Jerry Janulewicz City Attorney this issue. In 1990 when the South Locust Interchange was built
it required some conservation easements between the City, County of Hall and the Nebraska
Department of Roads. In order to address the environmental concerns of the Nebraska Game &
Parks Commission and the Federal Fish and Wildlife Service Hall County agreed to acquire the
conservation easements. The conservation easements cannot be changed unless approved by
Hall County the Nebraska Department of Roads and the Nebraska Game & Parks Commission.
The easement allows that one dwelling can be built on a 20 acre tract of land. Tract#32 is only
13 acres and it is to be sold but it depends on whether they can demolish the old home and
build a new home. They proceeded to check with the other parties involved and the Game and
Parks Commission and they do not have a problem to allow this tract to be only 13 acres. They
are asking to approve this resolution that has been provided to support the amendment to tear
down the old home and build a new home.
4
