Schuppan made a motion and Lanfear seconded to wait 2 weeks to award the bids and check the references from Sutterfield Technologies and Microfilm Imaging before awarding the bid. Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and Arnold voted no. Motion carried. PUBLIC PARTICIPATION — Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no one responded. 11 APPROVE BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS & REGULAR CLAIMS —the Board members received the board preapproval for their review. Schuppan made a motion and Arnold seconded to approve the biweekly pay claims and the regular claims. COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS— Richardson reported that Stuhr Museum will be holding activities in August when the full eclipse will occur. Lancaster reported that there has been a positive upward swing in the market for the Nebraska Public Employee Retirement System and in the next year if the cash balance builds up there they may pay a distribution to the members. It looks very favorable. 18 FACILITIES AGENDA- Richardson a) DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON THE COURTHOUSE WINDOWS Richardson stated that there has been discussion on the Courthouse windows and what type should be used. She contacted Doug and ask him to photo shop the window type from the Federal Building and how they would fit into the Courthouse. Mr. Humphrey showed pictures to the board members. The committee wants to make some sort of decision on the type of windows to use. Schuppan asked what the committee recommends stated that this has been discussed for two years. Mr. Humphrey showed pictures of the Courthouse with the window type from the Federal Building. He also showed pictures of various windows in the Courthouse showing the poor conditions. He played a recording of the sound of the wind blowing through the windows in the District Judges area. Bredthauer expressed concern on the type of window that would be historically correct and suggested looking at other options. Schuppan noted that they would have to think about the loss of the tax credits if they went with something else but Steve and Doug agreed it may not be worth going after. 3
