CVB request—displays and Promotions $ 25,000.00 <br /> Total 2017 recommended requests $105,000.00 <br /> Lancaster noted that the lodging tax has to be used for brick and mortar and she is pleased with <br /> 9 g e sp <br /> the GILCA funds. An outside group looks at the applications then they go to CVB for approval <br /> and then to the County Board for final approval. <br /> Arnold made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve the 2017 grants in the amount of <br /> $305,000.00. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10:30 A.M. Held a Board of Corrections meeting <br /> 10:47 a.m. Adjourned the Board of Corrections meeting and returned to the regular meeting. <br /> PUBLIC PARTICIPATION --Chairman Lancaster called for public participation and no one <br /> responded. <br /> 5. COUNTY ATTORNEY - 5 b) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON HALL COUNTY <br /> ANIMAL CONTROL AGREEMENT--County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf stated that this agreement <br /> has been bouncing back and forth and there is finally an agreement that the parties are <br /> comfortable with. The dollar amount was negotiated in paragraph #3 at $19,000.00 per year to <br /> that amount would start now that there is an agreement <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve the Hall County Animal Control <br /> agreement. Arnold, Bredthauer, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all <br /> voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 5a UPDATE FROM RANDY SEE REGARDING FUNDING FOR JUVENILE SERVICES AID <br /> GRANT— Randy See noted that some of the carry over funding from the Juvenile Services Aid <br /> grand will not be available. They were informed by the crime commission regarding funding <br /> changes. They had $22,924.31 carry over funds that they had proposed to use it for middle <br /> school mental health issues and they submitted the bill to the Crime Commission and it was not <br /> approved. There are dollars in the current grant that they could use to cover this. <br /> Quandt stated the state may be short for a couple of years. <br /> Randy stated that the legislature is proposing a 4% cut. He has not officially heard that this may <br /> happen but he cannot provide the services if the funding is not there. <br /> Lancaster noted that this is a reimbursable grant. We have to spend the dollars before they are <br /> reimbursed. She noted that the state revenues are not coming in and the state uses projected <br /> revenues. <br /> Stacey noted that we still owe St. Francis the $2,200.00 and Randy stated they will be able to <br /> move forward with the current grant and recoup the $2,200.00. The therapist is working and will <br /> have to be paid. He stated that there is currently $10,000.00 that they know they can use. He <br /> fees that they are in good shape and it is important to get this done because they may not allow <br /> any adjustments later. He also stated that all of their reporting is completed. <br /> 4 <br />
