Mr. O'Hara noted that the city is building a new dump site and he contacted the city but did not <br /> get any information back could they accept cattle trucks. Mr. Ruda stated that this would cost <br /> more. <br /> Mr. Ruda stated he is trying to find a location and he attempted to find land at CAAP but the <br /> ground was not for sale. <br /> Mark Alexander 6481 Engleman Road stated the ground water issue has been covered but <br /> some of that area was under water in the spring and summer and the roads were soft. He <br /> talked to DEQ and the land application of the water has to be 4 feet to ground water. <br /> The trucks will also go past the school it would be hard to make them use Highway 281. <br /> Dick Harman suggested that the county sell them land at CAAP. <br /> Jeff Ewoldt 6499 Engleman Road questioned the water from the pivots and where they would <br /> be applied the pivot is 200 feet from his front door. <br /> Mark Moeller—the land has natural slews and the water is supposed to run around the pits but <br /> the pits will block the slews. The washout is a good idea but not located here. <br /> Steve Bookman questioned who will take the waste he is against this location <br /> Gus Patsious expressed concern on the water from the road concern on where the water would <br /> be able to run. <br /> Darrel Sutter 3698 West Wood River Road stated he has seen ice jams on the Wood River and <br /> he has had fish in his lagoon from the back water from the river <br /> Cody Knodel, 6066 South North Road stated he opposed to it because of the truck traffic and <br /> there is a petition going around regarding this. <br /> Bryce Ewoldt questioned what they can do with the water in the winter time. <br /> Mr. Ruda stated the water capacity in the lagoon is sized according to the need. He stated he <br /> appreciates the questions and concerns. It opens discussion he is just looking for a spot. This <br /> is just a proposed site and he is open to suggestions. <br /> Shaley Backman stated this is a conditional use for this ground and he should to do due <br /> diligence about the location. She is not against the business but this is not a good location. <br /> Environmentally it does not make good sense and it is not their job to find a location. <br /> Mr. Ruda stated that with the paved roads and the current lagoons he felt it was a good location. <br /> Mr. O'Hara questioned how much water he would need and Mr. Ruda stated he would have to <br /> buy water rights from someone in the area. <br /> Chairman Arnold called for public participation and no one responded. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lancaster seconded to close the public hearing. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> 5 <br />
