County Clerk Marla Conley questioned a claim from T <br /> Shirt Engineers for a mural. The board reviewed the claim. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve the bi weekly pay claims and the <br /> regular claims. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt and Richardson all voted yes and <br /> none voted no. Schuppan was absent. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS —Arnold thanked the board members for <br /> attending his retirement he appreciated the thought. <br /> Lancaster reported that the job descriptions were all reviewed and have the requested wording <br /> and the facilities department is working on adding the information to theirs. <br /> She serves on the Nebraska Public Employees Retirement Board and stated that there was an <br /> internal audit of the department. They audit all counties that participate in the plan and review <br /> when employees are signed up and if they are eligible or not eligible. They make sure the funds <br /> are available. No points were found. This is an extensive audit and their goal is to have no <br /> infractions. <br /> Lancaster also reported on information from Sequoia Consulting Group regarding the issue of <br /> direct and indirect payments from DHHS. There was discussion on the issue of free space for <br /> DHHS. Discussion was held to draft a letter that would support bringing this forward to the <br /> legislature. Stacey reminded the board that Senator Groene was also included in the <br /> conference call and he stated that he would be looking at legislation. She will send an e mail <br /> regarding the status. <br /> Richardson reported that CASA will be holding their annual fund raiser on November 3, 2016 <br /> there is a style show and desert. <br /> Purdy stated that he Casey, Karen Bredthauer attended the hazardous waste meeting last week <br /> and there will be information sent out. He attended the NIRMA meeting and Hall County <br /> received a dividend check of$38,940.00. Ron Schmidt was a new member elected to serve on <br /> the NIRMA Board. <br /> 6 <br />
