The bid stated "contracted labor for installation and removal has been bid by Steffen Flooring" <br /> The rest of the bid information was not read <br /> Discussion was held and there was no other bids received and the specifications stated it was <br /> for"carpet removal and replacement" The bid was not submitted properly. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to reject the bid for the carpet because it was not <br /> submitted properly according to the bid specifications. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> This will be referred back to the facilities committee since there were no other b ids. There may <br /> be some other options under the county purchasing act that they can consider. <br /> 15. DISCUSS AND TAKE ACTION ON JOB DESCRIPTIONS TO INCLUDE THE WORDING <br /> "AND ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED BY A SUPERVISOR" — Lancaster noted that during <br /> the budget process there were concerns expressed about employees being reimbursed for <br /> duties that were not in the job description. Lancaster stated she discussed this with Mr. <br /> Zitterkopf and also talked to anther HR person that the wording "and all other duties as assigned <br /> by a supervisor" should be included in the job descriptions. She would like to see this wording <br /> added to all county job descriptions except elected officials. She would like to have Marla send <br /> a notice to all of the department heads to make sure that their job descriptions include this <br /> wording and return the corrected job descriptions back to the clerk. <br /> Lancaster made a motion and Quandt seconded to instruct the department heads to add the <br /> wording "and all other duties as assigned by a supervisor" to their job descriptions and instruct <br /> the county clerk to send a notice and file the amended job descriptions. <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 17. APPROVE BI WEEKLY PAY CLAIMS AND REGULAR CLAIMS —The board members <br /> received the board preapproval for their review. Lanfear made a motion and Purdy seconded to <br /> approve the bi weekly pay claims and the regular claims. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS— Lancaster stated that she and Alan Pickrel <br /> attended the urban affairs meeting in Aurora and Alan testified regarding the state's role <br /> regarding building codes and she addressed the purpose of the building inspector for the <br /> county. There were several counties' that do not have a building inspector and just have the <br /> state do the electrical inspections. The listened to all of the information and the concerns. <br /> Lancaster stated that the building inspector is vital to the county but there may need to be more <br /> oversight. <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS — Lancaster stated that she and Steve had a <br /> conversation regarding a committee for the building inspector and she stated she would be <br /> willing to support this. Lancaster noted 3 items that they would like to address. <br /> • Discussion was held regarding the payments from the villages and how this was to be <br /> handled. Alan said he would take care of this. <br /> • Discussion was held regarding an activity report from the department and they will also <br /> take care of that. <br /> 6 <br />
