Lancaster also noted that the copay for single coverage is 5% and the copay for family <br /> coverage is 20% so they pay a deprotonate share of the premium already. Anyone that takes <br /> single coverage has the advantage. Family coverage pays on the entire premium. <br /> Quandt stated that the board has haggled over the pay increases and have been split and he <br /> did not want to see a pay increase for the board. Discussion was held and the board does not <br /> have to take advantage of it. <br /> The vote on the motion to approve the resolution on Health Insurance benefits was taken. <br /> Arnold asked the board to support this resolution. Arnold, Lancaster and Richardson voted yes <br /> and Lanfear Purdy, Qua ndt and Schuppan all voted no. Motion failed. <br /> pp <br /> 6.10:00 A.M. BID OPENING 2016 2017 ASPHALT RESURFACING PHASE 1 —Quandt made <br /> a motion and Lanfear seconded to open the bids for the asphalt resurfacing project. Arnold, <br /> Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> Casey Sherlock provided copies of the affidavit of publication and stated that this is phase 1 for <br /> the asphalt projects and that all of the projects are tied and the bids are tied. H also stated that <br /> they prepare a bid estimate on all projects. <br /> The following bids were received. <br /> BIDDER BID BOND TOTAL BID <br /> JIL Construction Enclosed $500,688.00 <br /> Grand Island <br /> Gary Smith Construction Enclosed $498,980.00 <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to refer the bids to the committee to review and <br /> come back with a recommendation. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson <br /> and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> Chairman Arnold called for a break to review the bids. <br /> 10:14 a.m. Returned to the meeting. Casey Sherlock stated he checked the math and the <br /> numbers are correct and he recommends accepting the low bid from Gary Smith Construction. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Lanfear seconded to accept the bid from Gary Smith construction <br /> for$498,980.00. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all <br /> voted yes and none voted no.
