Purdy was absent. <br /> 20 COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER REPORTS --Schuppan stated that the criminal justice <br /> committee met with Lauri Dethloff regarding the agreement with the county. There was no <br /> discussion on dollars yet. They are addressing what the county wants and what the sheriff will <br /> enforce and what the county attorney will prosecute. Lanfear sated they will be meeting again. <br /> Lancaster reported that they met with Mark Fahleson regarding the union contracts and they <br /> plan to have him for an executive session in two weeks. She also reported that she was <br /> appointed to the Nebraska Public Employees Retirement board. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT—Stacey stated that there is a tight schedule for the <br /> committee room and the board room. She also reported that LB 894 went through the <br /> legislature but the bill was amended. <br /> 22 FACILITIES AGENDA - <br /> a) Discuss & authorize chair to sign Change order#12 A copy was included in the packets. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve and authorize the chair to sign <br /> pP n g <br /> change order#12. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes <br /> 9 <br /> , Pp Y <br /> and none voted no. Purdy was absent. <br /> CONSTRUCTION UPDATE —Mr. Humphrey stated that they started working on the bottom <br /> floor and in County Court. He also showed pictures of the ceiling. <br /> e) DISCUSSION ON COUNTY OFFICE BUILDING PUBLIC DEFENDER'S AREA <br /> He reported that the public defender renovations are moving slowly. It has been a struggle to <br /> get quotes on the jobs. He has the materials and has been working with the small companies. <br /> Quandt asked when phase#1 would be done and he stated he hoped it would be done by the <br /> end of the month. Mr. Humphrey expressed concern on getting 3 quotes. Lancaster stated that <br /> if it is a requirement to have competitive quotes they need to have the documentation. <br /> C SET BID OPENING DATE FOR CUSTODIAL SERVICES FOR MAY 3, 2016 AT 10:00 A.M. <br /> WITH BIDS DUE MAY 2, 2016 AT 5:00 P.M. -- Mr. Humphrey stated they want to go out for bids <br /> and wanted to do it now ahead of the budget cycle. He asked if the board wants to include the <br /> Federal Building. The current custodian does a good job and she only works 20 hours. <br /> Discussion was held and he is to contact L &J to address the custodial services. Discussion <br /> was also held on the building maintenance. They have logs set up to address the maintenance <br /> and the building will have to be checked on a daily basis <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Schuppan seconded to set the bid opening for custodial services for <br /> May 3, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. with bids due May 2, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Purdy was absent. <br /> d) DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON CUSTODIAL SERVICES FOR FEDERAL <br /> BUILDING - Discussion was held and Mr. Humphrey was instructed to contact L & J to see if the <br /> current person would be able to continue. <br /> f) DISCUSSION & POSSIBLE ACTION ON COUNTY COURT PAINTING PROPOSALS <br /> 6 <br />
