Richardson reported that the employee recognition committee met and they will recognize a <br /> veteran every meeting. They have a system set up and they also discussed recognizing elected <br /> official in December. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT—Stacey stated she will send out letters to the building <br /> inspector applicants today. She also stated that the board will need to start scheduling budget <br /> meetings. <br /> 22. FACILITIES AGENDA— DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON CHANGE ORDER#9 <br /> This was brought back from the last meeting and the committee made a recommendation to <br /> deny this change order because of the cost. They sent it back for new numbers but they did not <br /> receive a response. The will install the electrical equipment in house. <br /> Quandt made a motion and Lanfear seconded to deny change order#9. Arnold, Lancaster, <br /> Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion <br /> carried. <br /> a) DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON CHANGE ORDER#10—This is for the exhaust <br /> fans in the restrooms there were no exhaust fans before. The committee made a <br /> recommendation to approve the fans and to install the duct work and the fan motors. <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Richardson seconded to approve change order#10. <br /> Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none <br /> voted no. Motion carried. <br /> c) DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON CHANGE ORDER#11 —This is to change the <br /> wall to support the TV's for the jury to view. They purchased the lifts and they will be installed. <br /> Schuppan made a motion and Quandt seconded to approve change order#1. Arnold, <br /> Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> d) CONSTRUCTION UPDATE — Mr. Humphrey was present he reported that there was <br /> discussion on the air monitoring in the courthouse and it has been in the range and they have <br /> made steps to improve it. There were come complaints from the employees on the second floor <br /> and they have been using humidifiers, they can open the windows and they have asked the <br /> construction company to clean at night. <br /> Quandt asked when Judge Luther's would be done and Mr. Humphrey stated May 1st the <br /> bathrooms on the second floor are done. <br /> He reported that they are working on the paint and carpet in the public defender's area <br /> It is slow because they have to work around people. <br /> Richardson reported that they received notice that the application for the federal building has <br /> been approved and Joseph Potter contacted her with a serious of questions. This is good news <br /> and he is scheduled to be in Grand Island and would like to meet with the board. Discussion <br /> was held that they may need to have a special meeting on April 13th to meet with him. This will <br /> be on the agenda. <br /> 6 <br />
