DISCUSSION AND ACTION ON RENEWAL OF SCALES INTERLOCAL AGREEMENT— Hall County Sheriff Jerry Watson stated that they have had this Interlocal agreement since 2002 it includes Counties of Adams, Buffalo, Dawson, Phelps Merrick and Hall and the Cities of Grand Island, Hastings, Kearney, Holdrege, Lexington, Aurora and Cozad, the Nebraska State Patrol C & D Troupes, Gosper ,Harlan and Franklin. SCALES is communication between the parties; they discuss issues with all the other agencies. They can communicate directly with personnel and departments and also have a web based bulletin board. Mr. Zitterkopf is the chair of the committee and after they met he reviewed the resolution that created the committee and it appears that the committee makes the recommendation to the county board. Jan Pelland did rewrite the job requirements and took out some of the duties from property appraiser 1 so the range was lowered. She also moved some of the jobs to the mapping assistant. The committee recommended that the job description for property appraiser 1 set at range 11 and the new job for mapping specialist set at range 9. Lancaster thanked Jack for the interpretation it should be the decision of the county board. Lancaster made a motion and Lanfear seconded to approve the recommendation. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. 4
