Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, Quandt, <br /> Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried <br /> COMMITTEE OR BOARD MEMBER'S REPORTS — Lanfear stated he attended the quarterly <br /> drug court meeting and there are currently 120 enrolled in drug court and there will be 16 or 17 <br /> graduating. They are working on a standardized contract across the state for the people <br /> participating in drug court. He also noted that LB 605 may affect drug court. <br /> Lancaster attended the legislative meeting at NACO and there was discussion on Medicaid for <br /> inmates. There was also discussion on funding for veterans for the Blue Water program for <br /> Vietnam navy veterans that may have been exposed to Agent Orange. They would like support <br /> for this bill. <br /> Richardson encouraged the board to see the "Wings Over the Platte" display at Stuhr Museum. <br /> She also toured the new terminal at the Hall County Airport. They are scheduled to open March <br /> 23, 2016. <br /> Arnold stated he now serves on CNCS and attended the first board meeting. He noted the in <br /> service training with law enforcement and how stress from poverty can become a law <br /> enforcement issue. They try to help people become independent. They also addressed <br /> veterans housing. He stated they are an impressive organization. <br /> BOARD ASSISTANT'S REPORT— Stacey reminded the board members of the audit committee <br /> meeting Thursday at 2:00 p.m. <br /> 22 FACILITIES AGENDA—a) DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION ON CHANGE <br /> ORDER#9 - Schuppan stated that the committee met Monday and discussed the TV's for the <br /> courtrooms they will mount 3 small TV's that will move up and down. There was also concern <br /> on the change order for the electrical and they felt it was too high. There was discussion to <br /> have Angela Solis to the wiring. Some of this came up because of the changes on the ceiling. <br /> There was also concern that there would be the addition 10% for the contractor and 10% for the <br /> engineer because of the change order. <br /> There needs to be a corrected change order and no action was taken. They will bring this back <br /> in 2 weeks. <br /> B) DISCUSSION ON ADDITIONAL RENOVATION PROJECTS ON COURTHOUSE OUTSIDE <br /> OF HVAC CONTRACT - Schuppan stated that some of the items were not included in the <br /> original project like Judge Luther's ceiling and the painting and carpet replacement. Discussion <br /> was held to bid these projects out separately instead of using change orders. Some of these <br /> projects can be done after the HVAC is done. <br /> Lancaster noted that this is good discussion and a good way to contain costs they can get three <br /> proposals for the smaller projects. <br /> 9 <br />
