',. .~~:?~AS"~~ " -' ...J.:.4.,.......:... 1 Letter from Dan Hostler, Public Works Director recommending Hall County Board of Supervisors to vacate the described mile of road known as Schauppsville Road, which received petition to close on November 3, 1992. He recommended road be closed but the right-of-way be retained in case of future development. Motion by Hartman, seconded by Frauen to send letter to Mayfield Township Board. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. Discussion on the action taken at November 3, 1992 meeting to erect stop signs at intersection of Gunbarrel Road and Stolley Park Road. Motion by Wright, seconded by LeSLie to rescind action on stop signs and notify law enforcement agencies: On roll call vote Abernethy, ~rauen, ~artman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Land1s voted yes, none voted no. Mot1on carr1ed. Hostler Public Works Director spoke in regard to some shaft equipment which Stuhr M~seum would like to have. Board members decided to place equipment on -County Auction and Museum could purchase. if they wish to. Hostler reported Dr. McElroy haf requested roau tCI be closed between Mayfield and prairie Creek Townships on the Howard County iine. Board Members set annual road tour for Monday, November 30, 1992 at 9:00 A.M. and will meet at the Highway Department office. Continued audit of monthly claims. Sheriff Emmett Arnett expressed his concerns to the Board Members in regard to their resolution requiring use of ethanol in county owned vehicles. Discussion followed but no action was taken today. Some Board Members to obtain some additional information. Sheriff Arnett also spoke in regard to audit of fees and interest on delinq- uent taxes collected. Continued audit of monthly claims Discussion on claim from Davis Surveying. Recessed for lunch at 12:00 noon. Returned to regular session at 1:35 P.M. with all board members present. Roger Nygard, Chamber of Commerce introduced Theresa Kuzelka, New Executive Director of Convention Bureau. She stated she had been with the Visitor's Bureau for 4 year, prior to that was with Chamber of Commerce, they will be advertising for an Assistant Director to take her place. Nelson Helm, Regional Planning Director explained the final plats for Denman Farm Subdivision located on west side of AIda Road, approximately 1/4 mile north of Schimmer Drive (2 farm dwellings) and Kuehner Subdivision located on north side of Guenther Road approximately 1/2 mile west of Gun- barrel Road (farm dwelling). The Planning Commission recommends the County Board appraove final plats as submitted. Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to approve and authorize chairman to sign the final plats for Denman Farm Subdivision and Kuehner Subdivsion as presented. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried. Nelson Helm, Regional Planning Director presented quarterly report of Regional Planning Commission activities. Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to receive and lolace on file. On roll call vote all members voted yes.
