<br />application as Regional Planning Commission member.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Quandt to open and read the application
<br />received for Regional Planning Commission member. On roll call vote Abernethy,
<br />Frauen, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none voted no, with
<br />Hartman absent. Motion carried.
<br />Letter was opened and read from R.W. Bass, Amick Acres RRl Box 22R,
<br />Doniphan, Nebraska indicating interest in serving on the Regional Planning
<br />Commission board.
<br />Motion by Frauen, seconded by Abernethy to accept the written application
<br />and appoint R.W. Bass as a County representative member of Regional Planning
<br />Commission. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie, Quandt, Wright,
<br />and Landis voted yes, none voted no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried.

<br />10:00 A.M. Open bids for one new fifteen passenger van for Hall County Head
<br />Start as advertised in Grand Island Independent. Notice to bidders was read.
<br />Motion by Quandt, seconded by Frauen to open bids received. On roll call
<br />vote Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis voted yes, none
<br />voted no, with Hartman absent. Motion carried.
<br />Supervisor Hartman arrived at meeting following this vote.
<br />Linda Razey, Head Start representative presented ore bid received.

<br />Discussion followed. Don Bauer, Anderson Ford representative was present and
<br />spoke briefly. .
<br />Motion by Hartman, seconded by Abernethy to receive and accept the bid
<br />from Anderson Ford,. refer to Head Start pending acceptability by them. On
<br />roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Hartman, Leslie, Quandt, Wright and Landis
<br />voted yes, none voted no. Motion carried.

<br />Nelson Helm, Regional Planning Director spoke in regard to the City of Grand
<br />Island adopted comprehensive Land Use and Transportation Plan fer the City
<br />and its existing and future jurisdictional area. He requested fall County
<br />provide support for the preservation of agricultural uses and tr9 limitation
<br />of urban development on the South Locust Street corridor outsidE the City of
<br />Grand Island zoning jurisdiction.
<br />Each Board member had been presented with c~py of resolution to support the
<br />concept for previous study.
<br />Motion by Leslie, seconded by Abernethy to adopt Resolution #1430 as
<br />presented. On roll call vote Abernethy, Frauen, Leslie, Wright and Landis
<br />voted yes, Hartman and Quandt voted no. Motion carried on 5 yes, 2 no vote.

<br />and adopted a Comprehensive Land Use and Transportation Plan
