County Attorney Jack Zitterkopf requested withdraw item #4c regarding the water heaters for <br /> the corrections department. <br /> 6.10:30 AM — BID OPENING FOR CAMPUS MAINTENANCE TRACTOR <br /> The following bids were received: <br /> BIDDER TOTAL BID <br /> Green Line Equipment Inc <br /> Grand Island $36,614.41 <br /> Titan Machinery <br /> Grand Island $41,429.00 <br /> Lanfear made a motion and Richardson seconded to refer the bids to the facilities committee to <br /> review and come back in two weeks with a recommendation. Arnold, Lancaster, Lanfear, Purdy, <br /> Quandt, Richardson and Schuppan all voted yes and none voted no. Motion carried. <br /> 10 DISCUSSION AND POSSIBLE ACTION REGARDING EMPLOYEE ASSISTANCE <br /> PROGRAM - Purdy stated that Anna Hain and Seanne Emerton are present to address the <br /> employee assistance program. They provided information to the county board and noted that <br /> the program has been in place for 2 years and the usage is good. The offer alcohol, anxiety <br /> and also have marriage counselors. They also have a new financial therapist because financial <br /> issues are huge issues. They provide orientation for new employees and offer face to face <br /> session. They reviewed their programs that they offer <br /> Arnold noted that he received an e mail about the program and this is a safe place for the <br /> employees to go. <br /> Schuppan stated that it is important to keep this in front of the employees and remind them of <br /> the services. <br /> Arnold stated that he would like to see appointments made for the corrections employees to see <br /> where they are now. It is important as an employer to make sure that there is progress and not <br /> major concerns. <br /> Lancaster noted that it is important that there is some reassurance that the corrections <br /> employees are comfortable. This is good for all departments they need to know that there is a <br /> safe place to come and be reassured that if there is a concern that it can be addressed. <br /> Richardson stressed that it important to raise awareness of the program. She also noted that <br /> communications are protected. Arnold suggested meeting with everyone at corrections but <br /> Richardson questioned if it could be mandatory. Ms. Emerton stated they will look into this. <br /> Ms. Hain pointed out the additional fee structure that is available to the county. The agreement <br /> was renewed for one year and the board can look at this again. They will look at bring some <br /> information to the employees to raise awareness. <br /> 11 DISCUSS &APPROVE VISITOR IMPROVEMENT FUND GRANT PROGRAM <br /> DISBURSEMENT FOR 2016— Lancaster stated that the CVB has 2 sources of revenue and <br /> 5 <br />
